Construction of Interface Dipoles by Surface Doping and Their Role in the Open Circuit Voltage in Polymer Solar Cells

open access: yesOrganic Materials, 2020
A kind of dipolar interface is realized by surface doping of poly-(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) with tetrafluoro-tetracyano-quinodimethane (F4TCNQ). PEDOT is in situ synthesized by electrochemical polymerization of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT)

A platform to synthesize a soluble poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) analogue

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 2017
ABSTRACTAlkyl‐substituted polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) cage is combined with 3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene under the same roof. The corresponding monomer called EDOT‐POSS is used to get soluble poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT‐POSS) analogue.

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Synergistic effect of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene), reduced graphene oxide and aluminium oxide) as counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cell

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
A new counter electrode which makes use of reduced graphene oxide (rGO), poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) and aluminium oxide (Al2O3) was developed to enhance the performance of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) device in replacing platinum as a ...

Transient Charging of Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductors by Anomalous Diffusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This article explores charge transport in mixed ionic‐electronic conductors (MIECs) through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and transient current analysis. Focusing on PEDOT:PSS, WO3, and n‐doped PBDF, it uncovers the impact of anomalous diffusion via fractional modeling. The study reveals key correlations that deepen understanding and guide the

Morphological and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Study of poly(3,4 ethylenedioxythiophene)-coated poly(acrylonitrile-co-styrene) nanoparticles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2018
The nanoparticles of Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-coated Poly (acrylonitrile-co-styrene) (P(AN-co-St)/PEDOT) were successfully synthesized via a one-pot micro emulsion polymerization process. Ammonium persulfate (APS) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)

Ultrafast Vertical Organic Electrochemical Transistors With Ion‐Permeable Conductive Polymer Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Vertical organic electrochemical transistors (vOECTs) are limited in speed by ion‐impermeable metal electrodes that slow ion injection. Using ion‐permeable PBFDO top electrodes allows direct vertical ion injection into BBL channels, achieving high current densities (>400 A cm−2), large on/off ratios (>106), and ultrafast switching in 28 µs. This sets a

Synthesis and Electroanalytical Performance of a Composite Material Based on Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) Doped with Lignosulfonate

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemistry, 2012
3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was electropolymerized in the presence of sodium lignosulfonate (LS) at constant current density of 0.25 mA cm−2. As a result, a thin composite film consisting of poly(3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene) and LS (PEDOT/LS) was ...

Electrochemical sensors of octylphenol based on molecularly imprinted poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene–gold nanoparticles)

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2015
Two molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensors are fabricated by using EDOT and EDOT–AuNPs as monomers, respectively. The sensors show good analytical performance for OP sensing. Note: graphene nanoribbons (GNRs), 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT), 4-tert-octyl-phenol (OP).
