Studies on mechanical properties, dielectric behavior and DC conductivity of neodymium oxide/poly (butyl methacrylate) nanocomposites

Polymers and Polymer Composites, 2020
The current article aims to develop poly (butyl methacrylate) (PBMA) nanocomposites with enhanced electrical and mechanical properties by incorporating neodymium oxide (Nd2O3) nanoparticles between the PBMA chains.

Molecular Mobility in Poly(butyl methacrylate) and Poly(methyl methacrylate)

Molecular Simulation, 2004
Molecular mobility is studied in poly(butyl methacrylate) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with molecular dynamics simulations in order to understand the effect of the α–β crossover on the β relaxation activation energy and co-operativity. In the high frequency range investigated, the estimated β process activation energy is decreased as compared ...

Conformational transitions in poly(butyl methacrylate)

Polymer Bulletin, 1987
Temperature dependence of viscosity data was investigated on poly(butyl methacrylate) fractions in dilute solution. A discontinuity in intrinsic viscosity was observed in the 25°C–35°C temperature range. Sharp changes of unperturbed dimensions were visualized from this behaviour. The phenomenon can be accounted for by assuming conformational changes of

A new strategy to improve the cyclic stability of high voltage lithium nickel manganese oxide cathode by poly(butyl methacrylate-acrylonitrile-styrene) terpolymer as co-binder in lithium ion batteries

Electrochimica Acta, 2019
High voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 material is a promising cathode for lithium ion battery, but the unsatisfied cycle stability hinders its further development in higher energy density battery. Amorphous terpolymer poly(butyl methacrylate-acrylonitrile-styrene)

Effect of neodymium‐doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles on the structural, mechanical, and electrical properties of poly(butyl methacrylate) nanocomposites

Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, 2018
Nanocomposites based on neodymium‐doped titanium dioxide (Nd‐TiO2)/poly(n‐butyl methacrylate) (PBMA) have been prepared by an in situ polymerization of butyl methacrylate monomer with varying concentrations of Nd‐TiO2 nanoparticles.

Compatibility of peo/poly(iso-butyl methacrylate) and peo/poly(tert-butyl methacrylate) blends by DTA

Materials Letters, 1995
Abstract Melting temperatures and crystallization rates of poly(ethylene oxide)/poly(iso-butyl methacrylate) and poly(ethylene oxide)/poly(tert-butyl methacrylate) blends of different compositions were studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA). The equilibrium melting temperatures were found to decrease, for a given T C or ΔT m , as the
