Molecular Mobility in Poly(butyl methacrylate) and Poly(methyl methacrylate)
Molecular Simulation, 2004Molecular mobility is studied in poly(butyl methacrylate) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with molecular dynamics simulations in order to understand the effect of the α–β crossover on the β relaxation activation energy and co-operativity. In the high frequency range investigated, the estimated β process activation energy is decreased as compared ...

Conformational transitions in poly(butyl methacrylate)
Polymer Bulletin, 1987Temperature dependence of viscosity data was investigated on poly(butyl methacrylate) fractions in dilute solution. A discontinuity in intrinsic viscosity was observed in the 25°C–35°C temperature range. Sharp changes of unperturbed dimensions were visualized from this behaviour. The phenomenon can be accounted for by assuming conformational changes of

Abstract Melting temperatures and crystallization rates of poly(ethylene oxide)/poly(iso-butyl methacrylate) and poly(ethylene oxide)/poly(tert-butyl methacrylate) blends of different compositions were studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA). The equilibrium melting temperatures were found to decrease, for a given T C or ΔT m , as the
