Synthesis and properties of poly(ether ether ketone ketone)‐poly(ether sulfone) block copolymers
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1996Poly(ether ether ketone ketone)-poly(ether sulfone) (PEEKK/PES) block copolymers were prepared from the corresponding oligomers via a nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction, and the M n of the PEEKK segment was fixed at 12,000, while the M n 's of the PES segment ranged from 250 to 12,680.

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is one of the most important aromatic polymers; it has many applications in nanotechnology. The new sulfonated polyether ether ketone (sPEEK) membrane was successfully prepared, by using sulfonation processed for PEEK polymer; 10 grams of PEEK sample were dissolved progressively in 200 ml of sulfuric acid (H2SO4).

Effect of dihydroxydiphenyl ether on poly(ether ether ketone)
Journal of Polymer Research, 1996A series of modified poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) polymers were synthesized by introduction of addition ether groups from dihydroxydiphenyl ether (DHDE) into the PEEK structure. The inherent viscosity of the DHDE-modified PEEK increased with reaction time at 320 °C.

Conformational Characteristics of Poly-ether-ether-ketone and Poly-ether-nitrile
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1995Conformational analyses of poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK), poly-ether-nitrile (PEN) and their related polymers were performed using a semi-empirical molecular orbital method with the Austin Model 1 Hamiltonian (AM1 method in MOPAC). The minimum energy conformations were in good agreement with those in crystal structures of PEEK and PEN.
