Poly(ether ether ketone)s and poly(ether ether ketone ketone)s containing cardo decahydronaphthalene groups: Synthesis and characterization

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2011
AbstractNew poly(ether ether ketone)s and poly (ether ether ketone ketone)s were synthesized by polycondensation of each of the three bisphenols, viz., 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bisphenol, 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bis‐3‐methylphenol, and 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bis‐3,5‐dimethylphenol with 4,4′‐difluorobenzophenone and 1,

Crystallization behaviour of poly(ether-ether-ketone)

Polymer, 1986
Abstract A study has been made of the crystallization behaviour of poly(ether-ether-ketone), PEEK, under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. A differential scanning calorimeter was used to monitor the energetics of the crystallization process from the melt and from the rubbery amorphous state.

Crystallization of poly(aryl ether ketones): 3. The crystal structure of poly(ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK)

Polymer, 1991
Abstract The unit cell of poly(ether ether ketone ketone) was determined to be orthorhombic, as in other poly(aryl ether ketones). Comparing different poly(aryl ether ketones) it was found that the crystallographic parameters depend on the ether to ketone ratio.

Thermal properties and crystallization behavior of poly(ether ether ketone ketone)/poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) copolymers

Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, 1996
AbstractThermal properties of poly(ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK)/poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) (PEDEKK) copolymers were investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The glass transition temperature (Tg) increases from 154°C to 183°C as the content of PEDEKK units increases.

Synthesis and characterization of poly(ether amide ether ketone)/poly(ether ketone ketone) copolymers

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2010
AbstractA new monomer, N,N′‐bis(4‐phenoxybenzoyl)‐m‐phenylenediamine (BPPD), was prepared by condensation of m‐phenylenediamine with 4‐phenoxybenzoyl chloride in N,N‐dimethylacetamide (DMAc). A series of novel poly(ether amide ether ketone) (PEAEK)/poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK) copolymers were synthesized by the electrophilic Friedel‐Crafts solution

Structural study on poly(ether ether ketone ketone)‐poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) copolymers

Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 1996
AbstractStructures of poly(ether ether ketone ketone)‐poly(ether biphenyl ether ketone ketone) copolymers were studied by using small angle X‐ray scattering and the one‐dimensional electron density correlation function method. The results revealed that structures of the aggregated state of the copolymers depend closely on the biphenyl content (nb ...

Synthesis and properties of copolymers of poly(ether ketone ketone) and poly(ether amide ether amide ether ketone ketone)

Polymer International, 2010
AbstractPoly(aryl ether ketone)s (PAEKs) are a class of high‐performance engineering thermoplastics known for their excellent combination of chemical, physical and mechanical properties, and the synthesis of semicrystalline PAEKs with increased glass transition temperatures (Tg) is of much interest. In the work reported, a series of novel copolymers of
