Structural Characteristics and Swelling Behavior of Poly(ethylene glycol) Diacrylate Hydrogels

Macromolecules, 1996
Poly(ethylene glycol)s (PEGs) in the molecular weight range 200−3400 were derivatized at both ends with acryloyl chloride. These poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylates (PEGDAs) on homopolymerization yield cross-linked networks whose Mc values should correspond to the molecular weight of the PEGDA macromer.

Gas and Vapor Solubility in Cross-Linked Poly(ethylene Glycol Diacrylate)

Macromolecules, 2005
Polymers containing poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) have been investigated for CO2 removal from mixtures with light gases such as CH4, N2, and H2 because of the good affinity of PEG for CO2.

Gas Permeation and Diffusion in Cross-Linked Poly(ethylene glycol diacrylate)

Macromolecules, 2006
The permeability of cross-linked poly(ethylene glycol diacrylate) (XLPEGDA) to He, H2, O2, N2, CO2, CH4, C2H4, C2H6, C3H6, and C3H8 was determined at temperatures ranging from −20 to +45 °C and at fugacities up to approximately 15 atm for some gases. Diffusion coefficients of CO2 and hydrocarbons were calculated as a function of temperature and local ...

Hydrogels of poly(ethylene glycol)-co-poly(lactones) diacrylate macromers and β-chitin

Polymer, 1997
Abstract Poly(ester-ether-ester) triblock copolymers composed of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and lactones, d,l -lactide or ϵ-caprolactone, were crosslinked with β-chitin to prepare semi-interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) hydrogels by the u.v. irradiation method. Triblock copolymers were synthesized by bulk polymerization using low toxic stannous

Fast synthesis of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate cryogels via UV irradiation

Materials Letters, 2018
Abstract Poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) cryogels, particularly useful for biotechnological applications, are currently fabricated exploiting crosslinking systems that require long freezing/crosslinking times (20 h or longer). The aim of this work was to assess whether fast UV irradiation (up to 60 s) of frozen PEGDA solutions could be an ...

Mathematical Model for Surface‐Initiated Photopolymerization of Poly(ethylene glycol) Diacrylate

Macromolecular Theory and Simulations, 2006
AbstractSummary: A general mathematical model has been developed to describe the surface initiated photopolymerization of PEG‐DA forming crosslinked hydrogel membranes upon the surface of a substrate. Such membranes are formed by photopolymerizing a PEG‐DA prepolymer solution by initiation with eosin‐Y‐functionalized surfaces and TEA using VP as ...

Investigation of poly[oligo(ethylene glycol)diacrylates] as potential stationary phases in GC

Journal of Separation Science, 2017
AbstractPoly[oligo(ethylene glycol)diacrylate]s were investigated as potential candidates for application as stationary phases in capillary gas chromatography. Depending on the molar mass of the monomer, up to three different phase transitions were observed in calorimetric scans of the polymers.

Molecular relaxation in cross-linked poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(propylene glycol) diacrylate networks by dielectric spectroscopy

Polymer, 2007
Abstract The molecular relaxation characteristics of rubbery amorphous crosslinked networks based on poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate [PEGDA] and poly(propylene glycol) diacrylate [PPGDA] have been investigated using broadband dielectric spectroscopy.

Controlled release of paclitaxel from biodegradable unsaturated poly(ester amide)s/poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate hydrogels

Journal of Biomaterials Science, Polymer Edition, 2007
Biodegradable hydrogels (FPBe-G) were synthesized by the photopolymerization of two precursors: FPBe, a fumurate-based unsaturated poly(ester amide) (UPEA), and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEG-DA). Depending on the feed ratio of these two precursors, the resultant FPBe-G hydrogels showed different crosslinking levels of network structure, mesh ...
