3D printing of hydrogel scaffolds based on poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate

2019
This is a case study for the development of a poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate-based hydrogel for an additive manufacturing process. By introducing a photoinitiator and an UV absorber into the poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate a spatially and temporally three-dimensional polymerization takes place.

Synthesis and Characterization of Injectable Photocrosslinking Poly (ethylene glycol) Diacrylate based Hydrogels

Polymer Bulletin, 2008
The poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA)-based hydrogels were prepared by UV radiation under nitrogen, using PEGDA and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) as precursors. The PEGDA and HEMA precursors were respectively added into distilled water at a predetermined feed ratio.

Properties of polymeric films obtained from u.v. cured poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylates

Polymer, 1993
Abstract The properties of u.v. cured poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylates (PEGDA) having MWs in the range 200–2000 and acrylic functionality near to two were evaluated. First, the properties of pure PEGDA oligomers, subjected to u.v. curing, were considered.

Morphology and immunological activities of genistein-modified poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate networks

Polymer, 2016
Abstract By virtue of well-known antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities, a phytochemical called ‘genistein’ is incorporated into polymer network membrane for wound dressing. Binary phase diagram of genistein/polyethylene glycol diacrylate precursor (PEGDA) blends was established both experimentally and theoretically.

Surface-modified injectable poly(ethylene-glycol) diacrylate-based cryogels for localized gene delivery

Biomedical Physics & Engineering Express
Abstract Lentiviral transduction is widely used in research, has shown promise in clinical trials involving gene therapy and has been approved for CAR-T cell immunotherapy. However, most modifications are done ex vivo and rely on systemic administration of large numbers of transduced cells for clinical applications.

Nanodiamond‐therapeutic complexes embedded within poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate hydrogels mediating sequential drug elution

physica status solidi (a), 2012
AbstractThe versatility of nanodiamonds (NDs) as a polymer‐embedded therapeutic vehicle was demonstrated by the development of a hybrid material consisting of a poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) hydrogel embedded with ND‐drug complexes. A wide range of PEGDA structures, including single and multiple drug reservoirs, exhibited high loading ...

Photocurable surgical tissue adhesive glues composed of photoreactive gelatin and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1999
This article presents a novel photochemically driven surgical tissue adhesive technology using photoreactive gelatins and a water-soluble difunctional macromer (poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate: PEGDA).The gelatins were partially derivatized with photoreactive groups, such as ultraviolet light (UV)-reactive benzophenone and visible light-reactive ...
