Abstract Poly (lactic acid) hollow fiber membranes with poly (lactic acid)–polyethylene glycol–poly (lactic acid) (PLA–PEG–PLA) triblock copolymers were synthesized using different molecular weight PEG segments, and were used as hydrophilic copolymers for the preparation of PLA/PLA–PEG–PLA blend hollow fiber membranes.

Biodegradability of microcrystalline cellulose/poly(lactic acid)-graftedmaleic anhydride/poly(lactic acid) composites

This research aimed to prepare microcrystalline cellulose (MCC)/PLA composite films in which MCC was obtained from acid hydrolysis of cotton fabric (CT-MCC) by hydrochloric acid. In addition, maleic anhydride – grafted-polylactic acid (PLA-g-MA) was synthesized and used as a compatibilizer.
