Formulation and Evaluation of Ezetimibe Nanoparticles

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2017
The aim of this study is to formulate and evaluate ezetimibe nanoparticles using solvent antisolvent technology. Ezetimibe is a practically water-insoluble drug which acts as a lipid lowering drug that selectively inhibits the intestinal absorption of ...

Long Branching in Poly(vinyl acetate) and Poly(vinyl alcohol). V. Determination of the Long-Chain Branching in Poly(vinyl alcohol). [PDF]

open access: yesPolymer Journal, 1976
Long branching in poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) was quantitatively determined from measurements of the intrinsic viscosity and gel-permeation chromato-graphy of derived poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) according to Kurata’s method. The average number of branch points per unit molecular weight, λ3, was observed to lie in the range of 10−6—10−5 for PVA obtained ...

Synthesis and characterization of furfural-functionalized poly(vinyl alcohol) cross-linked with maleimide bearing tributyltin groups

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2022
In the present work, new cross-linked networks based on furfural-functionalized poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVF) and maleimide compounds containing tributyltin groups were synthesized. The networks were obtained both as films and porous membranes. The structure

Regulated Ion‐Diffusion Hydrogels for Subtle and Multimodal Temperature‐Strain Sensing in Wound Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Tissue‐Stimulator Platform for Electrically Stimulating Pancreatic β‐Cells for Long‐Term Functional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Biocompatibility study of poly(vinyl alcohol)-based electrospun scaffold for hernia repair

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2018
Abdominal hernia is a purely surgical disorder where due to a defect in the abdominal wall, tissues or organs can extrude out of the abdominal cavity. The only conclusive treatment is surgical making a mesh implantation indispensable.
