Diazirines Beyond Photoaffinity Labeling: A Comprehensive Overview of Applications in Biological Sciences, Materials Chemistry, and NMR‐Spectroscopy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 4, 22 January 2026.
Diazirines are three‐membered, nitrogen‐containing heterocycles that decompose under light or heat to generate carbenes. For the past two decades, they have served mainly as minimally invasive tags in photoaffinity labeling (PAL). More recently, their value as versatile carbene precursors has been recognized.

The impact of nanotechnology on textile coloration—A mini‐review

open access: yesColoration Technology, Volume 142, Issue 1, Page 26-51, February 2026.
Abstract Coloration is a key feature in the textile industry that adds value to the final apparels. This coloration of textile products is done by conventional methods which involve huge amounts of water pollution and wastages of textile colourants. Several approaches have been taken to eliminate these issues by advanced dyeing methods, however, due to

Perchloric Acid, an Effective Catalyst for Thermosetting Self‐Crosslinking Hydroxy Acrylic Resins

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 4, January 20, 2026.
Perchloric acid is an effective catalyst for the crosslinking of hydroxy acrylate resins. Its action is based on the intermediate formation of alkyl perchloric esters. Transesterification gives volatile alkyl perchlorates that evaporate to give a catalyst‐free resin.

Modification of poly(vinyl chloride). XIX. Electroplating of poly(vinyl chloride)

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1972
AbstractAs a preliminary treatment in the PVC‐electroplating procedure, treatment with dimethylformamide followed by sensitization leads to a finely roughened and a highly hydrophilic surface with reducing power. This is caused by the formation of an ionic complex compound between dimethylformamide and tin(II) chloride absorbed in the PVC surface.
