Co‐Firing Slow Solidification Process for Growing Indium‐Doped Cs3Cu2I5 Single Crystals With Record‐Breaking X‐Ray Detection Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
A novel brand‐new co‐firing slow solidification process has been used to prepare Cs3Cu2I5: In single crystals (SCs), which demonstrate record‐breaking X‐ray detection performance. The regular‐shaped Cs3Cu2I5: In wafer obtains a high light yield (74 368 Ph MeV−1), which is the highest related to indium‐doped Cu‐based perovskites.

Optimization of antibody binding by adjusting thermodynamic stability during the maturation of antibody affinities

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Somatic mutations and antibody clone selection occur in B‐cell hyper‐evolution over extremely brief periods of time. Herein, we developed a technique for antibody screening by immunizing alpacas with antigens and observing antibody sequence transitions over time, a method we named Tracking the Evolution of Antibodies over time.

Translucency of 3D‐Printed 3Y‐ and 5Y‐Doped Zirconia

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Volume 38, Issue 9, Page 1708-1716, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives To evaluate and compare the translucency of 3D‐printed zirconia materials: 3Y tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (3Y‐TZP) and 5Y partially stabilized zirconia (5Y‐PSZ). Material and Methods 3D‐printed 5Y‐PSZ and 3Y‐TZP materials fabricated using digital light processing (DLP) were investigated.

Adaptation, Marginal, and Occlusal Quality of Monolithic Zirconia Crowns: Effect of the CAD/CAM Milling Protocol

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Volume 38, Issue 9, Page 1840-1847, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Variables related to CAD/CAM processing can affect the final quality of all‐ceramic crowns. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the milling protocol on the adaptation, marginal and occlusal quality of monolithic zirconia crowns.

Influence of Different Multilayer Zirconia Materials on the In Vitro Load‐Bearing Capacity of Resin‐Bonded Fixed Partial Dentures in the Posterior Region

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Volume 38, Issue 9, Page 1854-1863, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Comparison of the load‐bearing capacity and failure pattern of posterior resin‐bonded fixed partial dentures (RBFPDs) differing in retainer design, zirconia material, and vertical nesting position. Materials and Methods RBFPDs replacing a maxillary first molar were fabricated with 2 retainer designs (inlay‐retained, IR; wing‐retained,

Modeling the dependence of strength on grain sizes in nanocrystalline materials

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2008
A model was developed to describe the grain size dependence of hardness (or strength) in nanocrystalline materials by combining the Hall–Petch relationship for larger grains with a coherent polycrystal model for nanoscale grains and introducing a log ...

Film Thickness Nonuniformity and the Crucial Role of Water Dosage for Atomic Layer Deposition of Yttrium Oxide

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 16, 19 August 2026.
To ensure the expected atomic layer deposition (ALD), this work emphasizes the need to (i) combine local growth kinetics analysis with large‐scale thickness nonuniformity assessment approaches and (ii) carefully select the H2O dosage as well as the process temperature applied to the ALD of Y2O3 from (MeCp)3Y and H2O precursors.

Grain Refinement During Severe Plastic Deformation and Similitude of Subgrain Formation: A Molecular Dynamics Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 15, 5 August 2026.
Molecular dynamics is used to investigate structure refinement during severe plastic deformation. The results show similitude with experimental data. Molecular dynamics simulations of severe plastic deformation of monocrystalline and polycrystalline samples by multiaxial compression of aluminum are carried out.

Lead‐Free Chiral Hybrid Metal Halides for Circularly Polarized Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 30, 14 August 2026.
Lead‐free chiral hybrid metal halides provide a versatile platform for realizing chiroptical responses through chiral modulation of metal–halide frameworks with diverse dimensionalities, induces inversion‐symmetry breaking and enables dissymmetric excited‐state transitions toward efficient circularly polarized luminescence and electroluminescence.
