Incoherent Neutron Scattering by Polycrystals

Physical Review, 1954
General expressions are given for the first terms in the expansion in powers of the neutron to nuclear mass ratio of the total cross section for incoherent scattering of neutrons by polycrystals. Special limiting cases of these expressions had been published earlier.

Powders, Pores and Polycrystals

Physics Bulletin, 1981
The science of materials, closely linked as it is to industrial practice, has had to come to terms with an awkward paradox. The raison d'etre of the discipline is to improve materials themselves, and the processes by which they are made and used; but for this to be done, it was plainly necessary to build up a stock of general scientific principles ...

On diffusion creep of polycrystals

Strength of Materials, 2009
We present a variant of diffusion creep in polycrystalline bodies, which is based on solving a diffusion-viscous flow model problem. A polycrystal is treated as a composite material and the relevant boundary-value problem is solved through approximation of the self-consistent method.

Description of disorder in polycrystal

4th IEEE-Russia Conference Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications, 2003. MEMIA 2003. Proceedings of the, 2003
A model for the mathematical description of disorder in polycrystal is proposed in this work. In the suggested framework the interference expression of function required for conductivity derivation is obtained.
