2004Abstract Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) typically presents in the third or fourth decade with haematuria, loin (flank) pain or hypertension. It is characterized by the progressive development and enlargement of bilateral renal cysts and often leads to end-stage renal disease (ESRD) by late middle age.
