Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of poly(ether sulfone) functionalized graphene reinforced poly(ether ether ketone) composites

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2021
The impact of poly (ether sulfone) modified graphene (f-GEi) on the non-isothermal crystallization kinetic behavior of PEEK composites was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry at various cooling rates.

Enhancement of wear properties of a polyether ether ketone polymer by incorporation of carbon and glass fibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Some properties of polymers can be improved through the incorporation of carbon and glass fibers into the polymer matrix. In this research, the wear resistance of two polymer composites CF-polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and GF-PEEK were compared with the ...

A constitutive model of polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK)

open access: yesJournal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, 2016
A modified Johnson-Cook (JC) model was proposed to describe the flow behaviour of polyether-ether-ketone (PEEK) with the consideration of coupled effects of strain, strain rate and temperature. As compared to traditional JC model, the modified one has better ability to predict the flow behaviour at elevated temperature conditions.

Development and Evaluation of Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) Capillary for Electrospray [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2019
With the rapid development of nanotechnology, there is urgent need of characterizing techniques; especially determining the particle size distribution directly from solution. Dynamic light scattering is often used but presence of a small number of aggregates can greatly influence the size distribution.

Study on the AFM Force Curve Common Errors and Their Effects on the Calculated Nanomechanical Properties of Materials

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2016
The atomic force microscope (AFM) force curve has been widely used for determining the mechanical properties of materials due to its high resolution, whereby very low (piconewton) forces and distances as small as nanometers can be measured.
