AbstractThis study presents shape transformation of anisotropic high-performance thermoplastic polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) and carbon fiber reinforced powder composite particles (HT-23) by thermal rounding. The shape transformation is achieved by (partial) melting of the high-temperature thermoplast microparticles.

This clinical report describes the fabrication of conventional complete dentures with polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) frameworks made with computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM). No biologic or prosthetic complications were observed at the 1-year follow-up.
