Loss of lipid to plastic tubing
14C-labeled oleic acid and 3H-labeled monoether in a bile salt solution were perfused through three types of plastic tubing. Large proportions of lipid were lost to the walls of silicone rubber and polyvinyl chloride tubes. The major portion of the lipid

Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

The ultraselective H2S detection of the ZIF‐L/SnS2 heterostructure is demonstrated. The introduction of 2‐dimensional (2D) breathable ZIF‐L results in a substantial increase in H2S selectivity attributable to the molecular sieving effect, which impedes the permeation of gases with large kinetic diameters and high polarity.

The osmotic potential of polyethylene glycol 6000.
Osmotic potential (psi(s)) of aqueous solutions of polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG-6000) was curvilinearly related to concentration. At given concentrations, psi(s) increased linearly with temperature. The effects of concentration and temperature on psi(s)

Porous polyethylene and proplast [PDF]
A comparative animal study showed that, after implantation in skull defects in guinea pigs, porous high-density polyethylene (PHDPE) was substantially better anchored in the bone than Proplast, and had greater stability of form and structure. In Proplast,
