Effect of Targeted Probiotics on Anesthesia‐Induced Sleep Disturbances via Modulating the Gut Microbiome and Metabolites

The diversity and abundance of the gut microbiome in rats were significantly disrupted following post‐anesthesia sleep disturbance. Lactobacillales and Bifidobacterium yogurt supplementations increased sleep quality considerably and the abundance of beneficial bacteria, while reducing wakefulness and wake‐related metabolites in the gut.

Sleep disordered breathing in Noonan syndrome: a rare case report

We report the case of a child with Noonan syndrome affected by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. The patient was born at 35 weeks gestational age (birth weight 3,340 g) and required mechanical ventilation.
