Overcoming the Catalytic Bucket Effect in Pt‐based High‐Entropy Nanocages Through Interface Defect and Strain Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PtPdNiCuMnAu HENCs exhibit a remarkable half‐wave potential (E1/2) of 0.925 V vs. RHE. The catalyst displays exceptional electrochemical stability, with only a 4 mV negative shift in E1/2 and a mere 5.6% loss in MA after 10, 000 accelerated durability test cycles.

Evaluation and visualization of a rectangle’s gravity on its surface, and on spheres inside, outside, or intersecting it

open access: yesFrontiers in Space Technologies
For convenient comparison and clear physical meaning, the gravity on the surface of a homogeneous cube and on spheres inside, outside, and intersecting about it is calculated by polyhedral or harmonic expansion methods.

Extended Anionic Network in Mixed‐Valent Nitridocobaltates(I/II) LnCo2N2 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents the high‐pressure synthesis of LnCo2N2 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd) with Co in mixed valent states of +I/+II. The compounds demonstrate the stabilization of a nitridocobaltate with extended anionic Co–N layers where Co is threefold coordinated.

Bicubic Splines for Fast-Contracting Control Nets

open access: yesAxioms
Merging parallel quad strips facilitates narrowing surface passages, and allows a design to transition to a simpler shape. While a number of spline surface constructions exist for the isotropic case where n pieces join, few existing spline constructions ...

Coordination‐Tuned Iridium Single‐Atom Nanozymes Boost Multienzyme Activity for Colorimetric Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Breaking the coordination symmetry of Ir single‐atom sites through asymmetric Ir–N3S1 engineering tailors interfacial electron transfer, oxygen activation, and multienzyme‐like catalytic pathways. Operando spectroscopy and theoretical modeling uncover the atomic‐level origin of activity enhancement, providing a strategy for designing multifunctional ...

CyberTape:An interactive measurement tool on polyhedral surface

open access: yes, 2004
Polyhedral mesh surfaces are widely utilized to represent objects reconstructed from 3D ranged images. In computer-aided engineering, it is desired not only to observe but also measure these three-dimensional (3D) objects. This paper presents an approach

A Molten Salt Extraction Method for Palladium Recovery via the CaPd2 Intermetallic Compound

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A designed Ca → CaPd2 → Pd pathway enables acid–free palladium recovery in molten salt. Calcium alloying forms anionic CaPd2, which is selectively oxidized by iodine from CaI2 to yield high–purity metallic Pd. ABSTRACT To address palladium scarcity and the low efficiency of conventional recovery processes, this work presents a molten–salt extraction ...
