A cone conjecture for log Calabi-Yau surfaces

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma
We consider log Calabi-Yau surfaces $(Y, D)$ with singular boundary. In each deformation type, there is a distinguished surface $(Y_e,D_e)$ such that the mixed Hodge structure on $H_2(Y \setminus D)$ is split.

Creating two self-assembly micro-environments to achieve supercrystals with dual structures using polyhedral nanoparticles

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Crystals with multiple structures often perform special functions in nature, inspiring the creation of synthetic analogues. Here, the authors subject polyhedral nanoparticles to two self-assembly micro-environments to realize supercrystals with dual ...

Cobalt fluoride/nitrogen-doped carbon derived from ZIF-67 for oxygen evolution reaction

open access: yesCatalysis Communications, 2022
Herein, we demonstrated that a novel derivative of zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) obtained by direct fluorination (ZIF-67) is an efficient electrocatalyst for Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER).

Shortest paths on polyhedral surfaces and terrains [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the forty-sixth annual ACM symposium on Theory of computing, 2014
We present an algorithm for computing shortest paths on polyhedral surfaces under convex distance functions. Let n be the total number of vertices, edges and faces of the surface. Our algorithm can be used to compute L1 and L∞ shortest paths on a polyhedral surface in O(n2 log4 n) time.

Efficient Disposal of Rhodamine 6G and Acid Orange 10 Dyes from Aqueous Media Using ZrO2/CdMn2O4/CdO as Novel and Facilely Synthesized Nanocomposites

open access: yesInorganics, 2023
It is essential to remove rhodamine 6G and acid orange 10 dyes from contaminated water because they can induce cancer and irritate the lungs, skin, mucous, membranes, and eyes.

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs
