Comparative evaluation of different composite wall materials for encapsulation of Justicia carnea (Brazilian plume) leaves extract [PDF]
Aim: The study evaluated the influence of different wall materials on the bioactive compounds in encapsulated Justicia carnea leaves extract. Methods: Combinations of gelatin with maltodextrin or starch, and gum arabic with maltodextrin or starch were ...

Polymer‐Grafted Cu(II) Metal–Organic Polyhedra as Scalable, Melt‐Processable Porous Materials
The use of a direct synthetic route to obtain polymer‐grafted Cu(II)‐based metal–organic polyhedra gives rise to a low‐cost and scalable cage. This material combines low‐temperature melting, achieving phase changes while preserving cage integrity, and high CO2 uptake exceeding 0.6 mmol g−1.

Generalizing the entanglement entropy of singular regions in conformal field theories
We study the structure of divergences and universal terms of the entanglement and Rényi entropies for singular regions. First, we show that for (3 + 1)-dimensional free conformal field theories (CFTs), entangling regions emanating from vertices give rise

Perovskite‐type oxide lanthanoid‐substituted BiCoO3 exhibits a reversible negative thermal expansion (NTE) originated from the coordination change from the CoO5 pyramid to the CoO6 octahedron due to melting of the dxy orbital ordering in the d6 electron configuration, and the 6.1% volume shrinkage in Bi0.82Nd0.18CoO3 is the largest ever observed in the

Connectivity and $W_v$-Paths in Polyhedral Maps on Surfaces
The $W_v$-Path Conjecture due to Klee and Wolfe states that any two vertices of a simple polytope can be joined by a path that does not revisit any facet. This is equivalent to the well-known Hirsch Conjecture. Klee proved that the $W_v$-Path Conjecture is true for all 3-polytopes (3-connected plane graphs), and conjectured even more, namely that the ...

Grain Boundary Structure Ordering via Electroshock Treatment Enhances Strength‐Ductility Synergy
Electroshock treatment triggers atomic rearrangement, transforming disordered grain boundaries into ordered states without inducing recrystallization. This grain boundary ordering effectively relieves strain concentration and strengthens boundaries, enabling a simultaneous improvement in both strength and ductility.

Triangulated surfaces and polyhedral structures
In this chapter we introduce the foundational material that will be used in our analysis of triangulated surfaces and of their quantum geometry. We start by recalling the relevant definitions from Piecewise–Linear (PL) geometry, (for which we refer ...

An ultrafast (2‐minute), gas‐free chemical pre‐sodiation strategy using Na‐benzophenone is developed to compensate for initial sodium loss in calcium vanadate (CaV8O20). Driven by the Ca2+ ‘spectator effect’, the framework enables highly reversible, quasi‐zero‐strain solid‐solution sodium storage, explicitly bypassing destructive conversion reactions ...
