Adsorption of Bovine Serum Albumin onto Surface-Modified Polyhydroxyethyl Methacrylate Beads

Journal of Biomaterials Applications, 2003
The adsorption of bovine serum albumin (BSA) onto poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) beads modified by using the pair of hexamethylene diisocyonate–suberic acidbis-N-hydroxy succinimide has been studied as a function of protein concentration and adsorption time.

Synthesis and characterization of polycholesteryl methacrylate–polyhydroxyethyl methyacrylate block copolymers

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 2008
AbstractWe report the synthesis and characterization of a series of novel diblock copolymers, poly(cholesteryl methacrylate‐b‐2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PCMA‐b‐PHEMA). Monomers, cholesteryl methacrylate (CMA) and 2‐(trimethylsiloxy)ethyl methacrylate (HEMA‐TMS), were prepared from methyacryloyl chloride and 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate, respectively.

Polyurethane/n-octadecane@silicon dioxide-polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate form-stable phase change materials with enhanced mechanical properties and thermal energy storage

Polymer Bulletin, 2021
A kind of polyurethane rubber (PU)/n-octadecane (n-OD)@silicon dioxide (SiO2)-polymethyl acrylate (PHEMA) form-stable phase change material (PCM) was fabricated in this paper. n-OD@SiO2-PHEMA microcapsules were prepared in one-pot, through interfacial hydrolysis polycondensation of alkoxy silanes and radical polymerization of HEMA.

Synthesis and Selective Loading of Polyhydroxyethyl Methacrylate-l-Polysulfone Amphiphilic Polymer Conetworks

ACS Macro Letters, 2015
Polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate-linked by-polysulfone amphiphilic polymer conetworks of two types of segments with Tg above room temperature are presented. The conetworks are prepared by free radical copolymerization of methacryloyl-terminated PSU macromers with 2-ethyl methacrylate, followed by removal of the TMS protecting groups by acidic hydrolysis ...
