Elastocaloric effect in vulcanized natural rubber and natural/wastes rubber blends [PDF]
Vulcanized natural/wastes rubber blends were prepared and their elastocaloric properties were analysed. A thermodynamic frame was used to discriminate the contributions of thermoelastic effects and strain induced crystallization/melting. The substitution

ABSTRACT Soybeans and corn are the primary agricultural commodities in Brazil, both of which are significantly impacted by various pests, leading to substantial crop losses. Notably, coleopteran and lepidopteran pests pose considerable challenges, as they have developed resistance to increasingly toxic chemical controls.

ABSTRACT Chicory roots produce inulin, a dietary fiber, as well as large quantities of bitter sesquiterpene lactones (STLs), which have valuable biological activities. In an effort to understand the compartmentalization of metabolism within chicory roots and the molecular basis of the development of laticifers that produce the chicory latex, we ...

Hyperbranched And Polydimethylsiloxane Based Membranes For CO2 Capture [PDF]
As we continue to come to terms with a warming planet created, in part, by our dependence on fossil fueled power plants, there is a great and urgent need for cost effective methods of isolating and capturing greenhouse gasses.

This study proposes a synthesis route for polyurethanes (PUs) derived from bio‐based polyols. The polyols were obtained through metathesis depolymerization of butadiene rubber using fatty alcohol (a castor oil derivative) as a chain transfer agent to produce hydroxyl‐terminated polybutadiene (HTPB).
