Thermal Fatigue With Freeze-Thaw Cycles of Polymer Modified Bitumen

open access: yes, 2011
This research contributes to characterize the EVA polymer modified bitumen, which was subjected to thermal fatigue. The aim of this work was to determine the rheological components and their evolutions under thermal fatigue with freezing - thawing ...

Effect of Long-Term Aging on Polymer Degradation and Fatigue Resistance of Hybrid Polymer-Modified Bitumen

open access: yes, 2022
Binder aging significantly affects the overall performance of asphalt pavements. For polymer-modified bitumen (PMB), this complex phenomenon is attributed to both polymer degradation and bitumen aging.

Storage Stability of Latex Modified Bitumen

open access: yes, 2019
The use of latex modified bitumen can increase the performance of pavement work. Polymer modified bitumen are usually prepared at high temperatures and subsequently stored for a period time, also some high temperatures.

SELECTED PROPERTIES OF POLYMER-MODIFIED BITUMENS

open access: yesStructure and Environment
The article presents an analysis of research results on bitumens modified with waste polymers polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The bitumens were modified under conditions consistent with the Plackett-Burman experimental design by appropriately selecting the mixing process variables. The results of basic tests are presented.

Physico-Chemical Techniques For Analysing the Ageing of Polymer modified Bitumen Properties, In: Polymer Modified Bitumen : Properties and Characterisation

open access: yes, 2011
Road bitumen undergoes, during its service life, an ageing process that leads to a material's hardening. But, when a polymer modified bitumen (PmB) has been used, what happens after oxidation/ageing is very complex to analyse, due to the number of ...
