Difluorobenzothiadiazole based two-dimensional conjugated polymers with triphenylamine substituted moieties as pendants for bulk heterojunction solar cells

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2017
Three donor/acceptor (D/A)-type two-dimensional polythiophenes (PTs; PBTFA13, PBTFA12, PBTFA11) featuring difluorobenzothiadiazole (DFBT) derivatives as the conjugated (acceptor) units in the polymer backbone and tertbutyl–substituted triphenylamine ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

The reactivity of linseed and soybean oil with different epoxidation degree towards vinyl acetate and impact of the resulting copolymer on the wood durability

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2017
Linseed (LO) and soybean oil (SO) were in–situ epoxidized with peracetic acid to produce different degree of epoxidized LO and epoxidized SO. For comparison purpose, commercial epoxidized linseed oil (ELO®) and epoxidized soybean oil (ESO®) were also ...

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Short-chain grafting of tetrahydrofuran and 1,4-dioxane cycles on vinylchloride-maleic anhydride copolymer

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2009
Mass increase of vinylchloride-maleic anhydride (VC-MA) copolymer samples aged in tetrahydrofuran (THF) or in 1,4-dioxane results from chemical interaction of VC-MA macromolecules with 1,4-dioxane or THF.

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Polymerization of acrylamide initiated with Ce(IV)- and KMnO4–mercaptosuccinic acid redox systems in acid-aqueous medium

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2007
By using mercaptosuccinic acid-cerium(IV) sulfate and mercaptosuccinic acid-KMnO4 redox systems in acid aqueous medium, the polymerization of acrylamide monomer was performed at room temperatures.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Novel oligocarbosilazanes bearing promesogenic end groups

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2009
A series of novel oligomers with promesogenic groups on both termini were prepared by a hydrosilylation reaction between well-defined telechelic oligocarbosilazanes end-fitted with vinylsilane (SiVi) groups and promesogenic compounds containing one ...
