Synthesis of a series of soluble main-chain chiral nonracemic poly(alkyl-aryl ketone)

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2008
A series of main-chain chiral polyketones have been synthesized through condensation polymerization of a dihalide and a diketone with optically pure binaphthyl moiety as linkage in the polymer backbone.

Acceleration effect of ionic liquids on polycyclotrimerization of dicyanate esters

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2016
The polycyclotrimerization reaction of dicyanate ester of bisphenol E (DCBE) in the presence of varying amounts (from 0.5 to 5 wt%) of 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([OMIm][BF4]) ionic liquid has been investigated using differential ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

The synthesis and polymerisation of some conjugatively extended p-Xylylenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
This thesis describes studies directed towards the preparation of new conjugatively extended p-xylylenes through in situ 1,6- or 1,8-Hoffmann elimination reactions of trimethylammonium salts. The polymers arising from these highly reactive compounds were

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

The Synthesis and Characterisation of Dendritic Macromolecules for Drug Delivery Application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Today, drugs used in treating disease are almost all hydrophobic, which makes them unattractive for applying to patients. To overcome this problem, an amphiphilic macromolecule was designed which can deliver drugs to the specific targeted area. Therefore,

Synthesis and characterization of novel organotin carboxylate maleimide monomers and copolymers

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2009
Two novel tributyltin carboxylate maleimide monomers, tributyltin(maleimido)acetate and tributyltin(4-maleimido)benzoate, were synthesized by condensation reaction of maleimidoacetic acid or 4-maleimidobenzoic acid with bis(tributyltin) oxide ...

Self-assembly of nanostructures obtained in a microwave-assisted oxidative polymerization of aniline

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2014
For the first time, microwave assisted aniline oxidative polymerization is performed in the presence of acetic acid (CH3COOH) and ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) at different microwave power levels.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...
