Regulating Protein Immobilization During Cell‐Free Protein Synthesis in Hyaluronan Microgels
Bifunctional microgels carrying a linear DNA template and Ni2+‐activated NTA moieties are used as platform for cell‐free protein synthesis and in situ protein immobilization. By varying the concentration of NTA moieties in the microgels, the amount of GFP‐His immobilized inside the microgel and released to the microgel environment can be regulated ...

A coarse grained model of polymer networks focusing on the intermediate length scales [PDF]
We propose a coarse-grained model for polymer chains and polymer networks based on the meso-scale dynamics. The model takes the internal degrees of freedom of the constituent polymer chains into account using memory functions and colored noises. We apply our model to dilute polymer solutions and polymer networks.

Ultraviolet and thermally stable polymer compositions [PDF]
A class of polymers is provided, namely, poly(diarylsiloxy) arylazines. These polymers have a basic chemical composition which has the property of stabilizing the optical and physical properties of the polymer against the degradative effect of ...

Toward Design Principles for Biomolecular Condensates for Metabolic Pathways
Biomolecular condensates are membrane‐less compartments found through‐out nature which can serve as reaction crucibles for biochemical processes. This review explores the design strategies underlying how condensates can be used in biotechnology to enhance multistep enzyme cascades including enhancement by mass action and substrate channeling, and ...

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.
