Bio‐Inspired Synthesis of Macroporous Single Crystal Particles as Scattering Agents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A general strategy is presented that delivers unique, single‐crystal microparticles that combine submicron macroporosity and uniform particle shapes. A bioinspired approach is used to occlude three distinct types of additives – polystyrene microspheres, polymer vesicles and amino acids – within calcite single crystals, and subsequent thermal annealing ...

Genome-Wide Microsatellite Characterization and Molecular Marker Development of Himalayan Griffon (Gyps himalayensis)

open access: yesAnimals
The Himalayan griffon (Gyps himalayensis), an obligate scavenging bird in the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, provides significant ecological services but is currently listed as near threatened. Despite their importance for conservation, genome-wide screening for

Performance Enhancement of Tin Chloride‐Incorporated Ferroelectric Polymer‐Based Artificial Synapse for Hardware Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a highly efficient ferroelectric artificial synapse device based on an oxide semiconductor and SnCl2‐inserted P(VDF‐TrFE) gate dielectric layer. This FeFET significantly improved the synaptic performance due to the ion‐dipole interaction.

Quotient Polymorphism

open access: yesProceedings of the ACM on Programming Languages
Quotient types increase the power of type systems by allowing types to include equational properties. However, two key practical issues arise: code being duplicated, and valid code being rejected. Specifically, function definitions often need to be repeated for each quotient of a type, and valid functions may be rejected if they ...

High‐Performance n‐Type Organic Thermoelectrics Enabled by Control Over Microstructure, Orientation and Contact Plane in Naphthalenediimide‐Bithiazole‐Copolymer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Effective control over the crystalline contact plane and microstructure of a naphthalenediimide‐bithiazole copolymer enables high‐performance n‐type thermoelectrics. While rubbing alignment induces a detrimental edge‐on orientation, subsequent solvent vapor‐induced re‐orientation facilitates a favorable mixed face‐on/edge‐on morphology.

Assessment of Genetic Diversity in Walnut (Juglans regia L.) Genotypes from Southern and Southeastern Kazakhstan Using Microsatellite Markers

open access: yesHorticulturae
The walnut (Juglans regia L.) holds a significant position among Kazakhstan’s nut crops, both in terms of cultivation and consumption. Although genetic resources of walnut are accessible within the country, they remain underexplored, yet they represent a
