Polymorphism: the influence on the quality of drugs and actual methods of analysis

open access: yesКачественная клиническая практика, 2018
Polymorphism is a phenomenon of existence of an individual substance in states with different crystalline structure, each of these states is called a polymorphic modification (PM).

Reversible Phase Transitions Enable Cyclic Isothermal CO2 Capture in Redox‐Activated Perovskite‐Structured Sorbents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Perovskite‐structured SrMnO3 can cyclically and reversibly capture and release CO2 via redox‐enabled phase transitions at constant temperature. The efficacy of this novel redox‐activated CO2 sorbent is demonstrated via sorption‐enhanced steam methane reforming.

Self‐Assembled Gallium Sulfide (GaS) Heterostructures Enabling Efficient Water Splitting and Selective Ammonia Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gallium sulfide (GaS) forms self‐assembled heterostructures with its native oxide, exhibiting high performance in water splitting and ultrasensitive and selective ammonia detection. Surface defects and controlled oxidation enhance catalytic activity and sensing response.

Formation of Genetically Determined Resistance against Human Norovirus Infection through Polymorphism of the FUT2 gene: a Review of the Literature

open access: yesЭпидемиология и вакцинопрофилактика
Relevance. Human Noroviruses (HuNoV) are highly contagious pathogens responsible of acute human norovirus infection. HuNoV is the cause of every fifth case of acute non-bacterial gastroenteritis, annually causing about 699 million cases of the disease ...

Association of Calpastatin (CAST) Gene with Growth Traits and Carcass Characteristics in Bali Cattle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Calpastatin (CAST) gene is well known as an inhibitor of muscle protein degradation and relates to muscle growth and meat tenderness. The objective of this study was to determine the association of CAST gene with growth traits and carcass characteristics

Emergence of Local Magnetic Moment in Ternary TaWSe2 Single Crystal via Atomic Clustering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates local magnetic moments in ternary TaWSe2. Triangular Ta clusters with consistent shapes are identified through STM/S, and DFT calculations. These clusters induce localized strain, generating magnetic moments at the cluster corners. Magnetic measurements confirm a magnetic anomaly at ∼50 K.

Extensive nrDNA Polymorphism in Morus L. and Its Application

open access: yesPlants
The internal transcribed spacer (ITS) is one of the most extensively utilized in the taxonomy of the genus Morus due to its generally concerted evolution. Although non-concerted evolution of nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) has been reported in some species,
