Qualitative analysis of polynomial differential systems with the line at infinity of maximal multiplicity: exploring linear, quadratic, cubic, quartic, and quintic cases

open access: yesActa et Commentationes: Ştiinţe Exacte şi ale Naturii
This article investigates the phase portraits of polynomial differential systems with maximal multiplicity at the line at infinity. The study explores theoretical foundations, including algebraic multiplicity definitions, to establish the groundwork for

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Fractional-Order Brusselator System Using the Polynomial Least Squares Method

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2015
The paper presents a new method, called the Polynomial Least Squares Method (PLSM). PLSM allows us to compute approximate analytical solutions for the Brusselator system, which is a fractional-order system of nonlinear differential equations.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Phase portraits of quadratic polynomial differential systems having as solution some classical planar algebraic curves of degree 4

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
We classify the phase portraits of quadratic polynomial differential systems having some relevant classic quartic algebraic curves as invariant algebraic curves, i.e. these curves are formed by orbits of the quadratic polynomial differential system.

Numerical Approach of Linear Volterra Integro-Differential Equations Using Generalized Spline Functions

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2012
This paper is dealing with non-polynomial spline functions "generalized spline" to find the approximate solution of linear Volterra integro-differential equations of the second kind and extension of this work to solve system of linear Volterra integro ...

Semi-classical Laguerre polynomials and a third order discrete integrable equation

open access: yes, 2009
A semi-discrete Lax pair formed from the differential system and recurrence relation for semi-classical orthogonal polynomials, leads to a discrete integrable equation for a specific semi-classical orthogonal polynomial weight. The main example we use is

Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Cubic Spline Solution of linear fourteenth order boundary value problems

open access: yesCeylon Journal of Science, 2018
As higher order differential equations have constantly been tiresome and problematic to resolve for the mathematicians and engineers so diverse numerical procedures were conceded out to acquire numerical estimates to such problems.

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.
