Robustness of Polynomial Stability of Damped Wave Equations

open access: yes, 2022
<p>In this paper we present new results on the preservation of polynomial stability of damped wave equations under addition of perturbing terms. We in particular introduce sufficient conditions for the stability of perturbed two-dimensional wave ...

Revealing the Transmission Hologram's Refractive Index Profile Stored in a Photohydrogel: A Structural Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A theoretical model is developed to visualize three‐dimensional refractive index profiles in transmission holographic gratings. In this work, it is applied to photopolymerizable hydrogels, enabling detailed analysis of the internal structure of recorded holograms and their evolution under different degradation conditions.

UTact: Underwater Vision‐Based Tactile Sensor with Geometry Reconstruction and Contact Force Estimation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Embedded flexible sensing technologies advance underwater soft robotics, yet most systems still suffer from hysteresis and limited perceptiveness. Instead, vision‐based tactile sensors provide reliable and rapid feedback essential for complex underwater tasks.

The root condition for polynomial of the second order and a spectral stability of finite‐difference schemes for Kuramoto‐Tsuzuki equation

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 1998
This paper deals with a root condition for polynomial of the second order. We prove the root criterion for such polynomial with complex coefficients. The criterion coincides with well‐known Hurwitz criterion in the case of real coefficients.

Stability Analysis of General Polynomial Fuzzy Model-Based Control Systems

open access: yes, 2016
This chapter investigates the stability of general polynomial fuzzy model-based control systems. In most of the published results, a constraint that the polynomial Lyapunov function matrix is allowed to be dependent on some state variables determined by ...

Polynomial Stability of Abstract Wave Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
wave equations model a large class of linear dynamical systems, i.e., systems that evolve linearly over time. For example, this vast class of abstract wave equations encloses many important second-order partial differential equations that are frequent in

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.

Solution maps of polynomial variational inequalities

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceIn this paper, we investigate several properties of the solution maps of variational inequalities with polynomial data. First, we prove some facts on the R_0-property, the local boundedness, and the upper semicontinuity of the ...

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.
