Prediction of Military Vehicle’s Drawbar Pull Based on an Improved Relevance Vector Machine and Real Vehicle Tests

open access: yesSensors, 2016
The scientific and effective prediction of drawbar pull is of great importance in the evaluation of military vehicle trafficability. Nevertheless, the existing prediction models have demonstrated lots of inherent limitations.

Discretization of polynomial vector fields by polarization [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2015
A novel integration method for quadratic vector fields was introduced by Kahan in 1993. Subsequently, it was shown that Kahan's method preserves a (modified) measure and energy when applied to quadratic Hamiltonian vector fields. Here we generalize Kahan's method to cubic resp.

On the algebraic invariant curves of plane polynomial differential systems

open access: yes, 2000
We consider a plane polynomial vector field $P(x,y)dx+Q(x,y)dy$ of degree $m>1$. To each algebraic invariant curve of such a field we associate a compact Riemann surface with the meromorphic differential $\omega=dx/P=dy/Q$. The asymptotic estimate of the

Linear-Time Polynomial Holographic Interactive Oracle Proofs with Logarithmic-Time Verification for Rank-1 Constraint System from Lookup Protocol

open access: yesMathematics
Modern SNARKs are constructed using polynomial Interactive Oracle Proofs (IOPs) and polynomial commitments. In this work, we introduce a novel polynomial holographic IOP for the NP-Complete language Rank-1 Constraint System (R1CS), where holographic IOP ...

On covariant actions for chiral p-forms

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We construct a Lorentz and generally covariant, polynomial action for free chiral p-forms, classically equivalent to the Pasti-Sorokin-Tonin (PST) formulation.

Polynomial vector fields with algebraic trajectories

open access: yes, 2010
It is known after Jouanolou that a general holomorphic foliation of degree $\geq2$ in projective space has no algebraic leaf. We give formulas for the degrees of the subvarieties of the parameter space of one-dimensional foliations that correspond to foliations endowed with some invariant subvariety of degree 1 or 2 and dimension $\geq1$.

Support vector machine model for regression applied to the estimation of the creep rupture stress in ferritic steels

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2013
Having as antecedent the use of artificial neural networks (ANN) in the estimation of the creep rupture stress in ferritic steels, new experiments have been developed using Support Vector Machine for Regression (SVMR), a recently method developed into ...

On plane polynomial vector fields and the Poincare problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2002
In this paper we address the Poincare problem, on plane polynomial vector fields, under some conditions on the nature of the singularities of invariant curves.
