Synthesis of Nucleoside Polyphosphates and their Conjugates [PDF]
Nucleoside polyphosphates and their conjugates, such as nucleoside triphosphates, nucleoside tetraphosphates, sugar nucleotides, dinucleoside pyro- and higher order polyphosphates, 2’,3’-cyclic nucleoside monophosphates, and 2´-deoxynucleoside-5 ...

General Procedure for the Synthesis of Dinucleoside Polyphosphates
Dinucleoside 5′,5′-polyphosphates (N(p)nN) play important roles in biological processes and have been developed into drugs. However, their synthesis still remains a challenge. Here we report a rapid and general approach to the synthesis of dinucleoside 5′

ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a known risk factor for hypercalcemia in cats. Phosphate‐restricted diets have also been implicated in causing hypercalcemia, in part because phosphate restriction increases the Ca:P ratio. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of two different therapeutic renal foods on ionized (iCa ...

Synthesis of Diphosphoinositol Polyphosphates [PDF]
Diphosphoinositol polyphosphates (PP-InsPy) represent a novel group of secondary messengers that regulate diverse important cellular processes, including signal transduction, vesicle trafficking and apoptosis. Recently, it has been reported that PP-InsPy

Abstract A novel heterocytous Cyanobacterium, Ariadnema polymorpha gen. et sp. nov., was observed in the northern Brazilian Atlantic Forest (BAF), a globally significant biodiversity hotspot that has microbiome diversity yet to be explored. Isolated from ancient sugarcane mill ruins within the BAF, the new genus (strain CCAPE130) exhibits a unique ...

AGXX enhances aminoglycoside activity against multidrug‐resistant pathogens such as uropathogenic Escherichia coli by increasing reactive oxygen species, causing protein aggregation and DNA damage. This effect is reduced by oxygen limitation or antioxidants. Polyphosphate protects cells from oxidative damage.

Synthesis and degradation studies of novel calcium polyphosphates
This paper describes a comparative investigation into the in vitro solubility of the calcium polyphosphates, gamma-Ca(PO3)(2) and beta-Ca(PO3)(2). The differing arrangement of their polyphosphates chains appears to result in significant dissolution of ...

Abstract Background Prekallikrein (PK) deficiency is a rare contact factor deficiency that can markedly prolong the activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) without a bleeding phenotype. Because viscoelastic hemostatic assays also rely on contact activation, their behavior in severe PK deficiency is relevant to perioperative evaluation of isolated ...
