Functionalization of Polysulfones by Click Chemistry [PDF]
AbstractFunctionalization of polysulfones by using “Click” chemistry is described for the example of a small fluorescent analyte propargylpyrene. First, PSUs were converted to azido‐functionalized polymers by successive chloromethylation and azidation. Propargylpyrene was prepared independently as a fluorescent click component.

Sulfophenylation of polysulfones for proton-conducting fuel cell membranes [PDF]
Polysulfone has been sulfophenylated by lithiation and anionic reaction with 2-sulfobenzoic acid cyclic anhydride. This provides a new convenient method to modify polysulfones by attaching pendant sulfonated phenyl groups via ketone links.

Mechanisms of Thermal Decompositions of Polysulfones: A DFT and CBS-QB3 Study [PDF]
The thermal stabilities of polysulfones with different lengths of the carbon-linker between sulfone groups have been explored. B3LYP and CBS-QB3 calculations on possible thermal decomposition mechanisms of model compounds show that even carbon-linked ...

Morphology and Dynamics in Hydroxide-Conducting Polysulfones [PDF]
In alkaline zinc–manganese dioxide batteries, there is a need for selective polymeric separators that have good hydroxide ion conductivity but that prevent the transport of zincate (Zn(OH)4)2–.
