Long‐term safety and efficacy of imeglimin in Japanese individuals with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease: A 52‐week postmarketing clinical study (TWINKLE)

This study confirmed the long‐term safety and efficacy of an adjusted‐dose regimen of imeglimin in Japanese participants with type 2 diabetes and grade (G) 3b–5 chronic kidney disease (CKD). Adverse events occurred in 41 participants (68.3%), with no increase in the incidence, type, and severity of AEs between CKD cohorts.
