Evaluation of Urine Exosome Lecithin Cholesterol Acyltransferase as a Biomarker for Diabetes Diagnosis and Dyslipidemia

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 42, Issue 3, March 2026.
Integrated proteomic and model studies reveal lipid metabolism dysregulation in diabetes, detectable even in prediabetes. LCAT, a key regulator, shows compensatory upregulation during progression. The characteristic dynamics of urine exosome LCAT provide a basis for its use as a non‐invasive biomarker for early diabetic detection and disease monitoring.

Boscisucrophage: A Natural SGLT1/2 Inhibitor From Boscia senegalensis for Managing Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
Boscisucrophage (BSP) significantly reduced blood glucose and HbA1c, increased urine glucose excretion, and improved functional symptoms in T2DM patients resistant to oral antihyperglycemic drugs. BSP showed no adverse effects on liver or kidney function.

Designing and Psychometric Properties of Self‐Care Tool for Adults With Pre‐Diabetes: Exploratory Sequential Mixed Method

open access: yesNursing Open, Volume 13, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Self‐care is one of the most critical factors in disease prevention. Adults with pre‐diabetes are at 5 to 15 times higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes compared with others. Without self‐care behaviours to promote health and prevention, more than 70% will ultimately develop type 2 diabetes during their lives.

Cystic Fibrosis‐Related Diabetes and Celiac Disease in a Paediatric CF Patient: Presence of CFRD‐Associated SNPs rs7903146 (TT) and rs4077468 (GG)

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This case describes a 14‐year‐old girl with cystic fibrosis who developed both celiac disease and early‐onset cystic fibrosis–related diabetes (CFRD). Genotyping revealed high‐risk variants in TCF7L2 (rs7903146 TT) and SLC26A9 (rs4077468 GG), suggesting a strong genetic contribution to her metabolic deterioration.

Brain Injury and Neurodevelopmental Outcome in Survivors After Spontaneous Single Fetal Demise in Monochorionic Twins: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 4, Page 570-578, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Monochorionic (MC) twins are at risk of acute exsanguination after single fetal demise (sFD) due to their shared placental circulation, which may result in sequelae for survivors. Objectives To evaluate the prevalence of ante‐ and postnatal brain injury and long‐term neurodevelopmental impairment (NDI) in co‐twins after sFD ...
