Coumarins from the Seeds of Poncirus trifoliata L

open access: yesZeitschrift Fur Naturforschung - Section C Journal of Biosciences, 1974
The coumarinic components of Poncirus trifoliata seeds were investigated. Two coumarins aurapten and 6-methoxy-7-geranyloxycoumarin were isolated and identified.

Terpenoids and Coumarins Isolated from the Fruits of Poncirus trifoliata

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2008
Four new triterpenes, 21alpha-methylmelianodiol (1), 21beta-methylmelianodiol (2), hispidol A 25-methyl ether (3) and hispidol B 25-methyl ether (4), and a new coumarin, isoschininallylol (5), were isolated from the fruits of Poncirus trifoliata RAFINESQUE, along with seventeen known compounds.

Poncimarin, a New Coumarin from Poncirus trifoliata L.

open access: yesZeitschrift Fur Naturforschung - Section C Journal of Biosciences, 1975
Abstract A new coumarinic derivative (Poncimarin; C19H22O5; m.p. 140 °C) was isolated from unripe fruits of Poncirus trifoliata L. which from spectroscopic evidences was formulated as 7-(2,3-epoxy-3-methyl butyloxy)-8-(2,3-epoxy-3-me-thyl butyl) coumarin.

Antianaphylactic activity of Poncirus trifoliata fruit extract

Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1996
The effect of an aqueous extract of Poncirus trifoliata (L.) Raf. (Rutaceae) fruits (PTFE) on compound 48/80-induced mortality associated with anaphylaxis was studied in rats. PTFE inhibited compound 48/80-induced anaphylaxis 100% with a dose of 1.6 mg/g body weight (BW) 1 h before or 5 min after injection of compound 48/80.

Larvicidal constituents from Poncirus trifoliata root extracts

Journal of Medical Entomology, 2023
Abstract In the search for effective and environmentally friendly mosquito control agents, we have examined natural sources, such as microbes and plants, and the synthetic analogs of natural products. These plants and microbes have evolved in their ecological niches to produce defensive compounds against other competing organisms in ...

Coumarins from unripe fruits of Poncirus trifoliata

Phytochemistry, 1977
Abstract Petrol extracts of unripe fruits of Poncirus trifoliata L. were found to contain 7-geranyloxycoumarin, bergapten, imperatorin, 6-methoxy-7-geranyloxycoumarin and two new coumarins which were shown by chemical and spectroscopic means to be 7-(3′-methyl-2′,3′-epoxybutyloxy)-8-(3″-methyl-2″,3″-epoxybutyl)coumarin and 7-(3′-methyl-2′,3 ...

Identification and genomic distribution of gypsy like retrotransposons in Citrus and Poncirus

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2003
Transposable elements might be importantly involved in citrus genetic instability and genome evolution. The presence of gypsy like retrotransposons, their heterogeneity and genomic distribution in Citrus and Poncirus, have been investigated. Eight clones containing part of the POL coding region of gypsy like retrotransposons have been isolated from a ...

Volatile profiles of flavedo, pulp and seeds in Poncirus trifoliata fruits

Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 2014
AbstractBACKGROUNDPoncirus trifoliata, also known as trifoliate orange, is a tree native to China and Korea and widely used all over the world as a rootstock breeding material. In this study the differences among the volatile profiles of flavedo, pulp and seeds from two cultivars (var. trifoliata and var.

Comparative analysis on the distribution of heterochromatin in Citrus, Poncirus and Fortunella chromosomes

Chromosome Research, 1997
Double fluorochrome staining with chromomycin A3 (CMA) and 4'-6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) was used to characterize and compare the distribution of constitutive heterochromatin along chromosomes of Citrus, Poncirus and Fortunella species. Only CMA-positive bands were distinguishable in metaphase chromosomes.
