NaCl-tolerant plants of Poncirus trifoliata regenerated from tolerant cell lines

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1992
Salt-tolerant cell lines of citrus rootstock (Poncirus trifoliata cv Pomeroy) were selected by subculturing embryo-derived calli on media containing sublethal concentrations of NaCl (5 and 10 g/l). Selected lines showed a normal growth in the presence of salt at the concentrations used for selection, and salt tolerance persisted after a passage on a ...

Cryopreservation of embryonic axes of trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata [L.] RAF.)

Plant Cell Reports, 1992
Halved shoot bases of Allium tuberosum Rottl. ex Spreng. proliferated both axillary and adventitious shoots on B5 medium (1968) supplemented with either 6-benzylaminopurine (0.5 mg/l) or 1-naphthalene acetic acid (0.1 mg/l) and 2-isopentenyladenine (0.5 mg/l).

Volatile profiles of flavedo, pulp and seeds in Poncirus trifoliata fruits

Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 2014
AbstractBACKGROUNDPoncirus trifoliata, also known as trifoliate orange, is a tree native to China and Korea and widely used all over the world as a rootstock breeding material. In this study the differences among the volatile profiles of flavedo, pulp and seeds from two cultivars (var. trifoliata and var.

A simple chromosomal marker can reliably distinguishes Poncirus from Citrus species

Genetica, 2006
Several chromosome types have been recognized in Citrus and related genera by chromomycin A(3 )(CMA) banding patterns and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH). They can be used to characterize cultivars and species or as markers in hybridization and backcrossing experiments. In the present work, characterization of six cultivars of P.

EST-SSR genetic maps for Citrus sinensis and Poncirus trifoliata

Tree Genetics & Genomes, 2007
The segregation of 141 polymorphic expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers in an F1 intergeneric citrus population was studied to build the first extensive EST maps for the maternal sweet orange and paternal Poncirus genomes. Of these markers, 122 were found segregating in sweet orange, 59 in Poncirus, and 40 in both.

Poncirus phylogenetic diagnostic SNPs markers are useful to analyse zygotic rates in diploid and tetraploid Citrus x Poncirus rootstock seedlings [PDF]

open access: possible, 2016
Diploid Citrus x Poncirus rootstock are used by the citrus industry worldwide. A new generation of promising allotetraploid rootstocks has also been developed. The rate of nucellar/zygotic plants among seedlings is a key trait for the production of genetically conform trees by seedlings.

DIVERSITY AND RELATIONSHIPS OF PONCIRUS (Poncirus trifoliata L.) AND PONCIRUS HYBRIDS BY SSR MOLECULAR MARKERS

2014
In this study, genetic relationship and diversity were determined by SSR (simple sequence repeat) molecular markers technique among 59 Poncirus (Poncirus trifoliata L. Raf.) types/cultivars derived from selections, introduction and hybridization. In this work, 14 SSR primers (TAA1, CAC19, TAA45, CT21, CAC33, CAC39, TAA33, CCT01, CAG01, CAT01, ATC09 ...

Screening of potential chemopreventive compounds from Poncirus trifoliata Raf.

Die Pharmazie, 2006
Chemopreventive agents induce a battery of genes whose protein products can protect cells from chemical-induced carcinogenesis. In this study, we isolated three different coumarins compounds (1; poncimarin, 2; heraclenol 3'-methyl ester and 3; oxypeucedanin methanolate) from Poncirus trifoliata Raf., and studied whether these compounds increase ...
