Advances in imaging have made possible confident diagnosis of infiltrative pontine gliomas without biopsy. When the diagnosis is in doubt, stereotactic biopsy is the procedure of choice. Surgical intervention is restricted to tumors with a dorsally exophytic component and other rare circumstances.

Optical Fiber Communication Conference and International Conference on Quantum Information, 2001We propose a passive optical network (PON) system based on quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) sub-carrier multiplexing (SCM) of 53 6 MHz 64/256-QAM channels. Sensitivities of -22 dBm and -17.5 dBm are achieved over 51 km of fiber under full duplex and broadcast delivery to 128 nodes for 64 and 256 QAM, respectively.

A unique case of pontine hydatid cyst is reported. Diagnosis was considered preoperatively on the basis of computed tomographic findings. Needle aspiration and removal of the endocyst were performed through the floor of the fourth ventricle. Postoperative death was due to widespread hemorrhagic infarction of the brainstem.

We studied 36 patients with MRI-proven isolated acute pontine infarct. Corresponding to the constant territories of intrinsic pontine vessels, infarcts followed a predictable distribution, enabling us to delineate three main syndromes. Twenty-one patients had a ventral pontine infarct.

200G-PON Based on 4×50Gbit/s NRZ LWDM Signals Coexisting with 50G-PON, XGS-PON and G-PON
2025 European Conference on Optical Communications (ECOC)We demonstrate 200G-PON transmission using 4x50 Gbit/s NRZ channels over 20 km of fiber, achieving optical budgets of >33 dB while coexisting with three legacy PONs. We propose reusing components similar to those in 50G-PON, ensuring flexible, cost-efficient, pay-as-you-grow upgrades up to 200 Gbit/s.
