A pilot study of novel duodenal covered self-expandable metal stent fixation
Migration of duodenal covered self-expandable metal stents (C-SEMSs) is the main cause of stent dysfunction in patients with malignant gastric outlet obstruction (mGOO).

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Efficacy of Metronomic Vinorelbine in Elderly Patients with Advanced Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer and Poor Performance Status [PDF]
Background: Metronomic chemotherapy—administration of low-dose chemotherapy—allows for a prolonged treatment duration and minimizes toxicity for unfit patients diagnosed with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

A Case of Granulocyte-Colony-Stimulating Factor-Producing Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer under Steroid Treatment and with Poor Performance Status That Responded to Pembrolizumab. [PDF]
Introduction: There have been only a few cases showing the efficacy of pembrolizumab on granulocyte-colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)-producing non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with high programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression.
