Evaluating population estimates of mountain goats based on citizen science
Citizen science programs that use trained volunteers may be a cost‐effective method for monitoring wildlife at large scales. However, few studies have compared data collected by volunteers versus biologists.

Comparing the cost-effectiveness of methods for estimating population density for primates in the Amazon rainforest Peru [PDF]
With increasingly extreme fluctuations in flood levels in the Amazon basin (Malhi et al. 2008, Marengo et al. 2012, Bodmer et al. 2014) the future of its' fauna is becoming more uncertain.

ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

Estimating the population size of two critically endangered South Pacific parakeets : the Tasman Parakeet and Malherbe's Parakeet : a thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Conservation Biology, Massey University, New Zealand [PDF]
The Cyanoramphus parakeets are a cryptically coloured group of birds that are distributed across the islands of the South Pacific region. Due to their restricted range and island distributions, species belonging to this genus are considered vulnerable to

Abstract Introduction The TEDDI trial tested the feasibility and reproducibility of deep‐inspiration breath‐hold (DIBH) in pediatric patients referred for radiotherapy. This report presents final results, including patient‐reported outcomes (PRO) and dosimetric comparison of DIBH and free‐breathing (FB).

Changing guards: time to move beyond Body Mass Index for population monitoring of excess adiposity [PDF]
With the obesity epidemic, and the effects of aging populations, human phenotypes have changed over two generations, possibly more dramatically than in other species previously.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.
