First detection and full genome sequence of porcine circovirus type 3 in Russia

Virus Genes, 2018
Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) was firstly detected in 2016 in USA. Later PCV3 was discovered in Asia, Europe, and South America. The present investigation demonstrates for the first time the circulation of PCV3 among pigs in Russia. The viruses were detected at two geographically distant unrelated commercial farms with records of reproductive ...

Porcine circovirus type 3 detection in a Hungarian pig farm experiencing reproductive failures

Veterinary Record, 2019
Porcine circovirus 3 (PCV3) infection has been reported in piglets and sows with porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome, reproductive failure, and cardiac and multisystemic inflammation. Few studies linked PCV3 infection to increased incidence of abortion and weak‐born piglets.

First detection of porcine circovirus type 3 on commercial pig farms in Poland

Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, 2017
Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) is a novel circovirus species recently discovered in USA and China in cases of porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome, reproductive failure, respiratory disease and multisystemic inflammation. This study reports on the first identification of PCV3 in Europe, in serum from pigs from Polish farms.

CHARACTERIZATION OF PORCINE PARVOVIRUS TYPE 3 AND PORCINE CIRCOVIRUS TYPE 2 IN WILD BOARS (SUS SCROFA) IN SLOVAKIA

Journal of Wildlife Diseases, 2015
As the number of free-living wild boars (Sus scrofa L.) continues to rise in Slovakia, the probability of pathogen transmission between susceptible species increases. We investigated the distribution and genetic characterization of porcine parvovirus type 3 (PPV3), porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), and their coinfection in wild boars. Among 194 animals

Ubiquitination-dependent degradation of DHX36 mediated by porcine circovirus type 3 capsid protein

Virology
Porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) is an emerging pathogen that causes porcine dermatitis, and reproductive failure. PCV3 Cap interacts with DExD/H-box helicase 36 (DHX36), a protein that functions primarily through regulating interferon (IFN)-β production.
