Comparative MRI of in vivo kidneys and ex vivo donor kidneys during NMP revealed marked physiological differences and limited correspondence with conventional perfusion or injury metrics. These distinct ex vivo MRI signatures emphasize the need to consider parameters beyond conventional in vivo functional markers when assessing organ viability during ...

Therapeutic potential of natural products in cancer immunotherapy: Advances and challenges
This review systematically outlines the mechanisms underlying tumour immunotherapy resistance and elucidates the role of natural products in enhancing therapeutic efficacy as immunomodulatory adjuvants. Abstract Immunotherapy has emerged as a clinically pivotal approach in cancer treatment, but its application remains limited to a small subset of ...

Mechanisms of Adaptive Immunity to Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus
The adaptive immune response is necessary for the development of protective immunity against infectious diseases. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), a genetically heterogeneous and rapidly evolving RNA virus, is the most ...

PCSK9 aggravates AAA by promoting ferroptosis in VSMCs. In the pathological AAA environment, PCSK9 upregulation triggers ferritinophagy‐dependent degradation of FTH1, leading to Fe2+ release, triggering lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis, exacerbating AAA.

Studies on porcine influenza viruses.
A number of different cell cultures were examined for their susceptibility to the influenza virus A/swine/Weybridge/86(H1N1) and A/swine/Weybridge/87(H3N2). PK1 (porcine kidney) was found to be the most susceptible to the viruses, and MDCK (canine kidney), the best cell line for primary isolation.

Safety of Xenotransplantation: Development of screening methods and testing for porcine viruses
Xenotransplantation using pig cells, tissues or organs might be a promising solution to overcome the shortage for organs suitable for allotransplantation. Because of several reasons, the pig is currently the favoured donor species. However, the use of porcine xenotransplants is associated with the risk of transmitting porcine viruses to the human ...

Evolution of Dermatophytic Fungi: Anthropogenic and Biogenic Environmental Factors
ABSTRACT Climate change presents new challenges to dermatologic care, ranging from anthropogenic factors, such as pollution that select for extremotolerant and potentially antifungal‐resistant fungi, to biogenic factors that can drive zoonotic outbreaks, which have received increased attention since the SARS‐CoV‐2 pandemic.
