MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Characterization of Dolomite Reservoir Pore‐Throat Structure Based on Cast Thin Section Image Analysis and Fractal Theory: A Case Study of Middle Jurassic Dolomite in the Southern Depression of Qiangtang Basin, Northern Tibetan Plateau, China

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
The Middle Jurassic Buqu Formation dolomite in the Qiangtang Basin, northern Tibetan Plateau, is characterized by strong heterogeneity, low porosity, and low permeability, making the evaluation of its pore structure a challenging task.

Targeted protein degradation in oncology: novel therapeutic opportunity for solid tumours?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Current anticancer therapies are limited by the occurrence of resistance and undruggability of most proteins. Targeted protein degraders are novel, promising agents that trigger the selective degradation of previously undruggable proteins through the recruitment of the ubiquitin–proteasome machinery. Their mechanism of action raises exciting challenges,

Features of adsorption pore structure in high-rank coal and its influence on methane adsorption capability

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua
The pore structure has a significant impact on the capability of coal seams to adsorb methane. But there is currently limited research on the features of adsorption pore structure in high-rank coal and its influence on methane adsorption capability ...

Expression and DNA methylation of 20S proteasome subunits as prognostic and resistance markers in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Comprehensive analysis of genomic mutations, gene expression, DNA methylation, and pathway analysis of TCGA data was carried out to define cancer types in which proteasome subunits expression is associated with worse survival. Albeit the effect of specific proteasome subunits on cellular function, the main role of the proteasome is better evaluated ...
