Carboxymethylated β-Glucan Derived from Poria cocos with Biological Activities
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2009Water-insoluble beta-(1-3)-D-glucan isolated from the sclerotium of Poria cocos hardly exhibits biological activity. Therefore, it is advantageous to produce a value-added product from P. cocos. We extracted the beta-(1-3)-D-glucan from the sclerotium of P. cocos and synthesized a carboxymethylated derivative.

Characterization and antioxidant activities of degraded polysaccharides from Poria cocos sclerotium
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2014Poria cocos F.A.Wolf is a Chinese traditional medicine used to treat chronic gastritis, edema, nephrosis, gastric atony, and acute gastroenteric catarrh. Polysaccharides are the main active component of P. cocos. We obtained polysaccharides PCP-1, PCP-2, and PCP-3 from the degradation of P.

Chemical constituents of Poria cocos
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2014The chemical constituents of Poria cocos were studied by means of silica gel, ODS column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 and preparative HPLC. Thirteen compounds were isolated from this plant. By analysis of the ESI-MS and NMR data, the structures of these compounds were determined as tumulosic acid (1), dehydrotumulosic acid (2), 3beta, 5alpha ...

Abstract Four lanostane triterpenes and four novel 3,4- seco -lanostane triterpenes were isolated from the surface layer of Poria cocos . 3β-Hydroxylanosta-7,9(11),24-trien-21-oic acid, trametenolic acid, dehydroeburicoic acid and eburicoic acid were isolated by HPLC after treatment with N -chloromethylphthalimide. Four novel 3,4- seco -lanostanes:

Cytotoxic Lanostanoids from Poria cocos
Journal of Natural Products, 2016Six new and 16 known lanostanoids were isolated from the sclerotia of Poria cocos. The structures of the new isolates were elucidated to be 16α-hydroxy-3-oxo-24-methyllanosta-5,7,9(11),24(31)-tetraen-21-oic acid (1), 3β,16α,29-trihydroxy-24-methyllanosta-7,9(11),24(31)-trien-21-oic acid (2), 3β,16α,30-trihydroxy-24-methyllanosta-7,9(11),24(31)-trien-21-

Triterpenoids from Poria cocos
Phytochemistry, 1991Abstract Two new triterpenoids, poricoic acid A and B were isolated from the surface layer of Poria cocos . The structures of poricoic acid A and B were elucidated to be 16α-hyroxy-3,4-secolanosta-4(28),7,9(11),24(31)-tetraen-3,21-dioic acid, and 16α-hydroxy-3,4-secolanosta-4(28),7,9(11),24-tetraen-3,21-dioic acid, respectively.

Anti-Emetic Principles ofPoria cocos
Planta Medica, 1995The triterpenes isolated from P. cocos and their derivatives were examined for anti-emetic activity. Some of these triterpenes inhibited emetic action induced by oral administration of copper sulfate pentahydrate to leopard frog. The triterpenes having an exomethylene group at C-24 showed anti-emetic activity to frogs.
