Assessment of induction heating in the performance of porous asphalt mixtures [PDF]

open access: yesRoad Materials and Pavement Design, 2019
This paper presents a study of the healing performance of a porous asphalt (PA) mixture heated by induction. The influence of incorporating two sorts of metallic particles, steel wool fibre and steel grit, into the porous asphalt was assessed in terms of the mechanical performance of the mixture.

Micro‐Scale Dual Interface Layer With N‐Coordination Encapsulated on Coralloid Si Anode for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The Zr‐doped coralloid μSi encapsulated within an N‐coordinated dual‐carbon network is fabricated by an Al‐Si melt modification integrated with in‐situ interfacial strategy, consequently improving the ionic diffusion behaviors. Micro‐scale silicon (μSi) anodes are promising candidates for enhancing energy density of lithium‐ion batteries, yet their ...

Enhancement of porous asphalt mixtures modified with various fibers and ethylene–vinyl acetate polymer

open access: yesScientific Reports
Porous asphalt mixture is conventional hot mix asphalt (HMA) with substantially decreased fines, which produces an open-graded mixture that enables the water to flow through an interconnected void space.

Aftasten/Tantear: A sensorial, coalitional wayfinding among Muslim runners

open access: yesFeminist Anthropology, EarlyView.
Abstract Muslim recreational runners in Muslim‐minority settings that take up running as their preferred form of leisure indicate that they feel they have to navigate a sense of exclusion when running outdoors. This article explores the process of exploration and sensing in public, represented by the Dutch verb aftasten, to investigate the way Muslim ...

REPRODUCTION OF HIGH VISCOSITY MODIFIED ASPHALT & RECLAMATION OF POROUS ASPHALT MIXTURES

open access: yesJOURNAL OF PAVEMENT ENGINEERING, JSCE, 2004
The test pavements using recycled porous asphalt are performed in each research institute, but drainage asphalt pavements are manufactured only with new material now, because the technology of recycling is not established. However, drainage asphalt pavements also need to consider to use of recycling aggregate from now on.

COMPARATIVE EFFECTS OF CORN COB ASH AND SIWALAN FRUIT SHELL ASH AS FILLERS ON MARSHALL STABILITY AND FLOW OF POROUS ASPHALT MIXTURES

open access: yesJurnal Pensil
The application of porous asphalt mixtures has increased because of their ability to improve surface drainage and traffic safety. However, their open-graded structure often reduces mechanical stability, making filler selection important for mixture ...

Mechanical Analysis through Non-Destructive Testing of Recycled Porous Friction Course Asphalt Mixture

open access: yesBuildings
This study assessed the mechanical performance of porous asphalt mixtures, specifically the porous friction course (PFC), incorporating 10% Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and rubberized asphalt. Three different methods were investigated to evaluate the
