Field‐Validated Predictive Model for Strain Modulus of Dispersive Clay Stabilized With a Waste Calcium Composite for Sustainable Subgrade Design

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
A field‐validated predictive model accurately estimates the strain modulus of waste calcium composite‐stabilized dispersive clay. The model provides a reliable, sustainable, and cost‐effective tool for subgrade design, reducing dependence on extensive field testing while improving pavement performance.

Enhancement of porous asphalt mixture for resisting environmental conditions using modified asphalt

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract Open-graded-friction-course (OGFC) is a hot asphalt mixture usually utilized as a private purpose wearing course, because of open graded asphalt mixture and aggregates skeleton (stone-on-stone) contact, it contains a relatively high air voids percent, after compaction which are permeable to water.

Atomic‐Level Insight of Carbon‐Based Anodes for Advanced Sodium Storage: Electrochemical Mechanisms and Molecular Simulation‐Assisted Modification

open access: yescMat, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2026.
Hard carbon is a promising anode for sodium‐ion batteries, yet its Na+ storage mechanism remains elusive. This review summarizes Na+ storage behavior in hard carbon from first‐principles (DFT) calculations, establishes structure–function relationships, summarizes DFT‐based evaluation methods, and provides perspectives for the rational theoretical ...

Fiber Elastomer Modified Asphalt for the Development of Resilient Porous Asphalt Mixtures

open access: yesArabian Journal for Science and Engineering
Abstract Heavy rain is one of the extreme weather events which pose a variety of serious risks on transportation infrastructures. Porous asphalt pavement can be used as a sustainable solution to mitigate the effects of such heavy rains. The objective of this study was to study the potential of using fiber elastomer modifier (FEM) to produce ...

A STUDY OF TECHNIQUES FOR THE USE OF RECYCLED POROUS ASPHALT MIXTURES

open access: yesJOURNAL OF PAVEMENT ENGINEERING, JSCE, 2001
Decision on the use of recycled aggregates depends on the aging measured by penetration of the recovered asphalt. However, it is difficult to make correct evaluation of aging of asphalt recovered from waste porous pavement materials because properties of high viscosity modified asphalt change during extraction / recovery process.

Terrestrial Analogs to Titan for Geophysical Research

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 64, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Saturn's moon Titan exhibits remarkable parallels to the Earth in many geophysical and geological processes not found elsewhere in the solar system at the present day. These include a nitrogen atmosphere with a condensible gas—methane—replacing the Earth's water, leading to an active meteorology with rainfall and surface manifestations ...
