Production and Properties of a New Porous Bearing

The behavior of ordinary bearings is described with varied conditions for geometrical factors, diameter, length, clearance, running speed, and for the oil quality, temperature and load. The essential feature of the new bearings is that they have inside of the bore a layer of ultrafine powder. The manufacturing process is described.
