Mechanical properties and oil content of CNT reinforced porous CuSn oil bearings

Composites Part B: Engineering, 2012
Abstract CNTs reinforced porous CuSn oil bearings were prepared by powder metallurgy method. Surfaced modification of CNTs is made to ensure interfacial bonding between CNTs and CuSn matrix. The micro-structure, micro-hardness, radical crushing strength and oil content of reinforced bearings with different amount of CNTs are investigated. The results

Oil Exchange between Ball Bearings and Porous Polyimide Ball Bearing Retainers

Tribology Transactions, 1997
The kinetics of the absorption of lubricating oils and moisture from air into porous polyimide, as well as the exchange of oil between porous polyimide retainers and oil baths or operating bearings, have been measured. Oil absorption into porous polyimide is much faster than into cotton-phenotic.

Oil whirl in porous metal bearings

Meccanica, 1974
Peculiar vibrations of journal bearings, tipical of balanced rigid rotors, are examined in order to elucidate the phenomenon in phisical terms and supply design diagrams for limiting its harmful effects in porous metal bearings.

Steady state solution of finite hydrostatic porous oil journal bearings with tangential velocity slip

Tribology International, 1984
Abstract A theoretical investigation has been made into the static characteristics of hydrostatic porous oil bearings with tangential velocity slip at the porous interface. A numerical method has been employed to solve the governing differential equations with a wide range of bearing parameters.

Traditional and precision methods for studying porous space of oil-bearing formation

Neftyanoe khozyaystvo - Oil Industry, 2017
At present, the coefficient of porosity is traditionally determined by the method of Preobrazhensky and by the results of a petrophysical interpretation of well log data. However, there are many examples of the significant error in its determination, which ultimately affects the determination of their filter-capacitance properties, the recovery rate of
