Extension of the six-port circuit theory for using a practical directional coupler in measuring RF impedance and RF power

open access: closedMeasurement Science and Technology, 1991
It is possible to measure simultaneously the complex impedance of a high power RF applicator and the power absorbed by the applicator, by using a practical bidirectional coupler. The authors propose complementing it with a six-port low power circuit which is simple and convenient to design and calibrate.

Theory of 4-Port Nonreciprocal Circuit --- Filter and Circulator

open access: closedS-MTT International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1974
The general formula for 4-port nonreciprocal circuit is given. The effects of structures and physical properties of resonator on the characteristics of the circuit are investigated. The limitations of available frequency range are clarified.

Combination of thermal subsystems by use of rapid circuit transformation and extended two-port theory

open access: closedMicroelectronics Journal, 2009
This paper deals with the modeling problem of combining thermal subsystems (e.g. a semiconductor module or package with a cooling radiator) making use of reduced models. The subsystem models consist of a set of Foster-type thermal equivalent circuits, which are only behavioral models.

Three-dimensional thermal modeling based on the two-port network theory for hybrid or monolithic integrated power circuits

open access: closedIEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology: Part A, 1996
This paper recalls how the two-port network theory can be extended to three-dimensional (3-D) conductive heat transfer in multilayered plane structures. Then it is shown how to build efficient computation tools by implementing this theory with help of fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithms.

Analysis of series-parallel resonant inductive coupling circuit using the two-port network theory

open access: closedIECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015
In this paper thorough analysis of Series-Parallel resonant inductive coupling (SPRIC) has been presented using two-port network theory. Characteristic of SPRIC has been derived and plotted against load variation and frequency variation in MATLAB. Concept of forced resonance and natural resonance has been discussed.

Arterial segment model evaluation by the means of two port electrical circuit theory — Properties of different arterial segments at various hematocrit values

open access: closed2016 ELEKTRO, 2016
Within this work, the analysis of the selected arterial system segments were performed regarding to various hematocrit values. Properties of arteries were transformed to electrical quantities by using electromechanical analogy. There is theory of two port electrical circuits, which was used for analysis of the selected arterial segments.

3D thermal modeling based on the two-port network theory for hybrid or monolithic integrated power circuits

open access: closedTwelfth Annual IEEE Semiconductor Thermal Measurement and Management Symposium. Proceedings, 2002
This paper recalls how the two-port network theory can be extended to 3D conductive heat transfer in multi-layered plane structures. It is shown how efficient computation tools can be built up by implementing this theory with the help of FFT algorithms.
