Port Wine Stain Hemangiomas

The American Journal of Nursing, 1982
Port wine stains (PWS) are disfiguring congenital vascular anomalies that affect thousands of individuals. Until recently, these port wine stain hemangiomas were poorly understood and could not be successfully treated. Now there is hope. Hypertrophic Port-Wine Stains.

Nishi Nihon Hifuka, 1997

A discussion of the case as well as a discussion of syndromes associated with port‐wine stains is provided.

[Port wine hemangioma].

La Revue du praticien, 1993
Port wine stains are mainly due to an increase in the number or size of dermal capillary vessels. They are a natural disgrace which, in their most common form (i.e. isolated and non-systematized), requires a cosmetic treatment. It is for this purpose that various therapies were formerly prescribed with inconstant results.
