Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

Weakly‐Coordinating Non‐Fluorinated Diluents for Local High‐Concentration Electrolytes in Advanced Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective critically evaluates non‐fluorinated diluents in local high‐concentration electrolytes, categorizing their solvation behavior, interfacial mechanisms, and sustainability potential to guide future electrolyte design for lithium metal batteries.

Bias‐Field Free Single‐Frequency CW‐ODMR of Nitrogen‐Vacancy Centers in Diamond for the Detection of Transient Electrical Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Simplified quantum sensing technique for the detection of short electrical signals occurring in neuronal signaling or bioinspired technologies. We demonstrate a single frequency continuous‐wave optically detected magnetic resonance (CW‐ODMR) approach to sense signals that can be as short as 0.2 ms.

On the (dis)unity of the Manila Bay Creoles: some lexical strata in Ternateño

open access: yesJournal of Ibero-Romance Creoles, 2013
Spanish lexifier creoles spoken in various parts of the Manila Bay region have usually been assumed to be descendants from a single creole. Data from Ternateño, the most viable of these languages, suggest that this may have (at least in part) a separate ...

Discontinuation of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in CML patients in real-world clinical practice at a single institution

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2018
Background Most patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) will relapse if treatment is withdrawn, but various trials have recently demonstrated that a significant proportion of patients who achieved a ...

Record Performance in Vertically Stacked, Solution‐Processed ZTO Schottky Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Schottky diodes based on solution processed sustainable zinc—tin–oxide thin films present an eco‐friendly and versatile alternative to conventional CMOS based technologies. Beyond state‐of‐the‐art performance for vertically stacked solution‐based oxide diodes was achieved, including rectification ratios exceeding nine orders of magnitude, and intrinsic

On the Portuguese Wave Regimen

open access: yesCoastal Engineering 1974, 1974
Some general characteristics of the wave regimen along the Portuguese coast and the zones next to it are presented. The paper is of a chiefly informative nature and results from the analysis of values obtained during an initial stage of swell observation, applied to studies carried out at the Laboratorio Nacional de En genharia Civil(LNEC),Lisbon ...
